One Waqaf. One Ummah.
What is Waqaf (وَقْف)? It’s an Arabic word for donation, a gift for charity, humanitarian aid, or to benefit a cause. Waqaf typically involves donating a building, plot of land or other assets for Muslim religious or charitable purposes with no intention of reclaiming the assets. A donation may take various forms, including money, alms, services, or goods such as clothing, toys, food, or vehicles. Donations are given without return consideration.
Our Voluntary Program
Why volunteer? Giving to others can also help protect your mental and physical health. It can reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose. While it’s true that the more you volunteer, the more benefits you’ll experience, volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day.
90% of your donation is spent on our life-changing work. For every USD 1 donated, we were able to spend USD 0.9 directly on our projects. All our stakeholders recognise the quality of our work. Our projects are run by local people for local people, are transparent and have measurable benefits for people’s lives.
Over the past year we have helped save and improved lives of thousands of hard to reach and marginalised people. By supporting us you will be helping to reach even more.
Cambodian Intelligent Investors Organization (CIIO) connects nonprofits, donors, and companies in nearly every country around the world. We help local nonprofits access the funding, tools, training, and support they need to become more effective.
Are We Accountable?
Cambodian Intelligent Investors Organization (CIIO) believes that in order to achieve our organisational mission and to ensure that our work has the greatest impact, we need to be accountable to our key stakeholders. We are working towards improved transparency and information-sharing; more stakeholder participation in decision-making; and better evaluation and complaint mechanisms. Key stakeholders include the individuals and communities with whom we work; partners and allies; donors and supporters; staff and the wider public; and regulatory bodies in the Cambodia and in it’s local district where we operate.
How We Operate
Cambodian Intelligent Investors Organization (CIIO) partnership with Malaysian based company, Muhajirin Wal Ansar Enterprise (MWA), to perform all humanitarian and development work centres around partnerships. We works alongside local organisations overseas and we encourage partners to participate in projects; after all, it’s their project.
CIIO offers financial and practical assistance to improve capacity and skills. We evaluates projects regularly to keep improving. Both CIIO and MWA does not dictate to the partners, but promotes quality commitments and support their implementation. That could mean bringing several partners together to share learning and experiences, helping with funding applications, or providing financial management training.
